New appointments help property developer build on success

A property developer has made a number of key appointments to support its move into the private housing market.
Fay Garthwaite joins North Tyneside based Wylde Homes (a division of Turney Wylde) as sales co-ordinator bringing with her vast experience in the property market having worked for companies including Bowey Homes, Miller Homes, Bellway Homes and for Manners and Harrison Estate Agency.
In her newly created position, Fay, who lives in Seaton Carew in Hartlepool, will be responsible for the sale of new build houses following Wylde Homes’ new brand launch last month. Her job will involve setting up on-site sales offices, showing prospective clients around new properties, dealing with enquiries and ensuring all properties are advertised appropriately. She will also manage a team of sales staff as Wylde Homes takes on more developments.
Since joining the company Fay has assisted with the sales of seven properties in Newton by the Sea in Northumberland entitled Newton View, a conversion of seven new homes from redundant farm buildings. Her next projects to work on will include the refurbishment of a large stone-built farmhouse, barn conversions and some new build housing at East Brunton Farm, Gosforth followed by
27 new townhouses and apartments in Stanley, County Durham entitled Beamish Rise and 12 three bedroom properties in Beadnell known as Smugglers Cove.
Carolyn Ash has also been appointed to head up the customer liaison team for the company’s contract division, Turney Wylde Construction. She will oversee the internal and external modernisation of public housing contracts including Your Homes and the City of Sunderland Housing Group and her work will involve conducting initial surveys, organising pre-work visits and ensuring customer satisfaction is met with both tenants and clients. She will work across three project sites in Newcastle and Sunderland.
Carolyn who is originally from Scotland has lived in the North East for 12 years has previously worked in sales and customer liaison roles for CityBuild at Newcastle City Council and Newton Moor Construction.

Turney Wylde Construction Ltd was set up 40 years ago and is owned by David and Lesley Wylde. They have predominantly been involved in construction for the retail, industrial, commercial, education and social housing markets and have now rebranded to form Wylde Homes to communicate their private housing arm.
